Cut or whole/live bluegill shad work well for the big uns. I would take some cheikcn livers along too, though. If the big uns don;t bite and there are other cats in there, they can rarely resist livers. When using cheikcn livers, use a trebel hook and take the hook off the leader you are using. Put the liver over the eyelet part of the hook and then hook it on the treble points. It will stay on better.
